At the store today, the lady who asked me “why are you trying the same product so many times?” and then treated me like a thief at the checkout… Let me first explain how shopping works. First, you find a model you like. Then you try it on to see if the size fits and how it looks on you. If you like it, you buy it. It would be good for you to learn this. I really don’t understand why you asked why I tried on several items in a place literally called a fitting room. By the way, if you hadn’t asked me “where are the items you tried?” as if I were a thief, I would have told you myself that I put them back on the rack. Because of Black Friday crowds, I gathered the items I tried and returned them to their place — that’s why you couldn’t find them ;).

The Columbia Sportswear Outlet is dangerous in the best possible way. You walk in thinking you’ll just browse and suddenly you’re leaving dressed like you’re about to climb Everest (even though you’re really just going to Tesco). The staff are super friendly and somehow make you feel good about buying yet another jacket you definitely didn’t need but absolutely love. Great deals, great gear, and a great excuse to pretend you’re more outdoorsy than you actually are. Highly recommend!

We ordered a sweatshirt & after it wasn’t delivered, we asked for a replacement or refund. THEY DID NOTHING. Avoid like the plague. If I could give them a ZERO review, I would. SHAME ON YOU.

Thanks to the kind staff at Columbia that happily rummaged around to find this fleece in my size amongst what is presumably the chaos of a stock room at an outlet centre in what was quite a small store! Never bought columbia before either and very happy with the quality and design!

I wouldn’t give this brand and the staff even one star. Even the t-shirts I bought from Primark 4 years ago have better quality.

Special thanks to the lady (JENNY) who helped me out in the store Saturday 19/072025, she absolutely went above and beyond to get the style size and items i wanted, she was so professional and equipped with knowledge of the stock it made my experience the best shopping day i have had for years, can't wait to go and spend my money back in this store next time I am shopping. :) Thanx again JENNY you are a LEGEND.

Avoid the Cheshire oaks outlet store at all costs! Most staff, especially the managers are extremely rude and clearly need more training on how to deal with customers! I recently purchased a couple of fleeces from this store, once I got home I decided to try them both on again. Upon pulling them both out of the bag, on one of the fleeces the tags got ripped off and unfortunately this was the fleece that I wasn’t very keen on the fit so I decided to take it back a couple weeks later. Upon returning to the store and asking if I could get a credit note for the fleece that I wanted to return, I was instantly looked at with daggers. They asked the usual questions and smelt the fleece insisting and accusing me that it had been washed and smelt of washing powder so they couldn’t accept the fleece. I’ve never heard such nonsense in my whole life! For all I know, a thousand people could have tried that one fleece on with all kinds on aftershave or perfumes before I purchased it. It seems I have learnt a valuable lesson and It’s safe to say I’ll never be visiting this store again and will most likely avoid purchasing from this brand in the future.

On, Tuesday 21st January 2025 - I decided to visit Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet to get some January Sales bargains before it expired. I visited Columbia just to see what was on offer & to my surprise I purchased a: M Staydry™ Jacket & Fleece Falls™ II Full Zip Fleece for just £54.98p Sale Price. Based upon each items original RRP - I made the saving of £120.02p I'd like to thank Anthony whom that evening was working alone in a very busy store yet answered all my queries as I had up to that point NEVER owed anything made by Columbia. Due to him, I made the purchase & am pleased to do so.

Called antony the store manager about his attitude towards my daughter(an employee) I asked for his managers details which he refused to give me he was very rude to me and acted like a child what a horrible man with a lot off complaints on here Columbia you need to take notice off the reviews

The customer service was atrocious. If I could give 0*, I would. I had attended the store for my partner's birthday and had mistakenly bought a garment. I had politely asked a middle aged lady with black hair (her name may have been Rebecca) for a refund for the product we had mistakenly bought one minute ago - we were still in the store and had just left the counter (when we realised it was a mistake). She replied with rudeness, impatience and dismissiveness, stating that she could only accept an exchange, and that she did not care that we had just bought it at the counter 1 minute earlier. This was her policy and she 'did not care what we said'. Instead of assisting me, she raised her voice and seemed annoyed by my questions, which left me feeling uncomfortable and disrespected. She also pointed out her dissatisfaction to be working on Boxing Day. Whilst my partner and I were set to leave the store, she came up to me confrontationally and said that to either exchange the product or leave the store, refused to give me her name, blocked off the shop from me and almost pushed me and my partner out of the store, refused to give me her name saying that she did not care what I thought and to never come back, told me to speak to her manager and that no matter what I said, that he would have her back (which he did). I understand that everyone can have an off day, and I can imagine how busy it was that day but I expect better from a brand of Columbia’s reputation. As a loyal Columbia customer, I found this behaviour completely unacceptable and I would like this to be investigated immediately.

Have not delivered an order for over 2 weeks and refuse to cancel it. Customer service is absolutely useless. Avoid at all costs.

Rude manager and staff not helpful at all the store is so messy you can’t even find anything so bad I will never go to this store again

I had a very upsetting experience at this store in Columbia. The store manager was incredibly rude and discriminatory towards me and my wife, who is Muslim and wears a hijab. My wife initially asked him to exchange an item for a different size, and he rudely said they didn’t have it. However, when I later asked at the till, he suddenly found the size we were looking for. What made this even worse was how differently he treated other customers. He was friendly, joking, and polite with the customer ahead of us, but as soon as it was our turn, his tone completely changed. When we went to pay, he demanded a paper receipt for an exchange. We couldn’t find it immediately, so I showed him proof of purchase on my bank statement, which should have been sufficient. Despite this, he flat-out refused to help us and spoke to us in an unprofessional, hostile manner. When I tried to explain, he accused me of being rude, told me to leave the store, and even called security to follow us around like we were thieves. This kind of treatment was humiliating and unacceptable. No one should be treated this way, and the discrimination we experienced was shocking. I hope the management takes this matter seriously and addresses such behavior.

*Please note, this about the company and not a store. * After spending some time at looking to replace my favourite jacket and after reading countless reviews I decided to buy a columbia jacket. After looking around I'd settled on one and decided to buy "direct" from the company online. I set an account up as suggested by them and placed my order which, and making the most of, bought it under guess of black Friday. The site stated 5>6 days delivery and this was OK. Jump forward 6 days and no jacket. Not only that but no communication as to the progress, the only information was"order placed". I noticed though that under "my account" there was actually no contact details other than a 0800 number. After a quick search I found an address which luckily for me turned out to be just a few junctions up the m6! I tried an email address advertised online but it kept bouncing back so I rang them. A foreign speeking lady answered and I struggled to understand her. After checking my order number she informed me my order had indeed been "despatched". She said she would email me a link to check it's progress which she did. When I checked up, it infact showed that they had only generated a "ticket" and not despatched it, nor had the courier received it! Please bare in mind they said 5>6 days "DELIVERY". I then used the reply button to contact them and explain the service was not acceptable and that the website had no email contact that actually worked. After not receiving any reply from them, I decided to check with the courier(UPS in this case) and low and behold, my order was sat at some depot in the Midlands! Not only that, they expected it to be delivered the next day, making my order 1 day late as opposed to letting me think (after speeking to them) it was either lost, unavailable or something and going to be ages to appear. The company may produce quality items but their customer service is shockingly poor. When I placed my order, it did not mention that their contact centre is based in Europe (I think Switzerland though could be wrong). They don't show a contact email address either. The information given was wrong when I queried my order(this is a order to tracking issue) and it took them 5 days to generate an order let alone get it delivered! My experience with columbia sportswear has made me rethink my retail outlook for any further purchases regardless of how good the item is. The hunt for a decent company selling decent kit continues...

Absolutely horrible till staff. As a paying customer I expect to be treated with respect. I took a top to the till to pay and she went looking in the back for a new one. They didn't have any, so I asked if the display one would be reduced while it had fluff and marks on it. I was met with "look you either want it at that price or not, I could go and put it back out in the shop and sell for full price" I then said I'd have it but I'm not happy then she refused to sell it me at all. Will never step foot in another columbia shop again. Anyway I went and got a better top from Regatta for half the price with lovely staff.

The brand is great but oh my God the ppl that work in this outlet shop are the worst. I shopped here a few times because I love the brand, but surely they make it so difficult and unpleasant that it almost puts me off. This evening, the first day of black Friday sales, they closed at least 10 min early. When I knocked at the door at 19:50, without even bothering to talk to me, the guy that was inside, with an annoyed face, made me some gesture to say they were closed. When through the glass door I showed him the time from the screen of my phone, he aggressively made me a gesture of getting lost. I found it very offensive and unprofessional. For someone that is working in a customer facing role, these people should be able to show some empathy and communication skills or at least a bit of politeness.

It is very difficult to find a size, there is only one person interested. Total chaos...

Just visited Columbia at MG and had excellent service from Cameron. We wouldn’t find a size we needed and he was so amazing. Found what we needed for us and highlighted all offers in store showing us exactly where offers were. Wonderful service. Thank you Cameron.

We went to the store about 15 mins before they were going to close , we chose one top in promo but could not find another , so the manager of the store gave us 10% off so we got close to the promo offer .. excellent service , very helpful , cheerful staff . Definitely going again.

Went today to Chesire Oaks to Columbia looking for a jacket and had the perfect shopping experience with Anthony and Jennifer. They were so friendly and professional- they made shopping fun and worthwhile. Needless to say, we left satisfied with a jacket. Thanks guys

Visited Cheshire Oaks today with the family , knowing that the Columbia store was at the top of our list. On entering, the staff were there available around the store on hand, if you needed any help with finding sizes, which is always helpful if you forget your glasses! Always a pleasure to visit again, to see the store busy, helpful, knowledgeable. Thanks to the store manager Anthony, who went out of his way to find other items and sizes of which we looked at. We visited the Columbia store today and just needed to put it out there how wonderful the staff and customer service is. The choice of stock is also amazing! We have shopped here numerous times and every time they have gone the extra mile i.e. helping with sizes and checking stock. Buy a lot of outdoor clothing, and liked Columbia as a brand, amongst others. But I won’t tolerate rudeness and staff talking about customers inappropriately when they mistakenly believe they are out of earshot (not myself) Believe the man’s name was Anthony, couldn’t believe the unprofessionalism on show, shame really as was wanting to buy some items, but I’ll maybe go online in the future, shame really as my experience in the other outlets was positive. Shops/Brands really need to up there game if they are to continue to attract custom, and customers if I’d had, had time I would have raised this with the manager.

And one particular shop went above and beyond 🫶🏻 this was Columbia store and the staff were just fantastic and very helpful indeed. I went into the Columbia store yesterday to buy some casual shirts for my cruise, I was met by a very friendly and pleasant female staff member who was very helpful in my purchase.

Popped in last week looking for a jacket for summer and the staff were nothing but helpful. Happy to talk me through their products, their knowledge of what type of jacket would be best for me was brilliant. Been on two hikes since then and they were spot on. I believe her name was Jen. Even got a bit of fitting room service with them grabbing extra sizes for me and even swayed me towards a t-shirt or two. Fantastic customer service all round. Will visit again.

Really helpful and friendly staff, found what I needed with the help of the staff. Credit is due to the store and attitude for best customer service I’ve had for a really long time in any shop.

I am a big fan of Columbia clothing and own many items, but I was disappointed with the offers in this store, and I was able to buy Columbia items cheaper at a major sports retailer instead. There are a few items on offer, but it tends to be the cheaper lines they offer. There needs to be better offers on the good stuff if I were to come back here.

Went in store today and massive argument with store manger and man outside the door not a nice environment and felt very uneasy and felt sorry for the staff working in there.

Highly underrated store in my opinion. The staff were welcoming, extremely helpful, kind and patient when looking for the right size and type of t-shirt. There are changing rooms here. There is a vast range of clothes in all sizes and colours, with unique designs on each of them, all made in high-quality materials for such a good price. Good offers on as well. You definitely get the best value here and I'm very pleased with my experience.

Exceptional shop and the clothes were half the price of the likes of it's competitors on the retail park.

Why don't you stock the full range of sizes you offer on your website? Columbia makes a big deal of having an inclusive size range but then doesn't make that range available in their physical shops. Shouldn't everyone have the opportunity to try on their size? I realize as an outlet location you won't always have every size for each item but to have none seems to be a conscious decision. Please do better.

Awful, will not be coming back. Return policy was not made clear, tried to return something and was told they dont accept returns. Store manager was unhelpful and ignored what was being said to him and tried to gaslight me. Terrible.
